UPDATE: 22nd swine flu death in Mississippi (Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal)

JACKSON — Another Mississippi resident has died from swine flu. The state Department of Health reports 22 deaths related to H1N1 so far this year. Health officials say the latest death was a female child in DeSoto County in the northwestern part of the state.

H1N1 flu death in Kent County is sixth in Delaware (Smyrna Clayton Sun Times)

Officials with Delaware’s Division of Public Health (DPH) announced Wednesday that a 56-year old Kent County woman died of H1N1 flu-related symptoms on Jan. 2, Delaware’s sixth H1N1-related death. She was hospitalized Dec. 18, 2009, tested positive for H1N1, and had several underlying health conditions.
